Explosive Ordnance Investigation for routes
Project details
Explosive Ordnance Investigation for routes
Order
- Combined source and aerial photo analysis
- Basis: Evaluation of approx. 2,600 aerial photographs from several time periods, historical research according to our standards.
Area size
- Approx. 200 km train path.
Results
- Approximately 8% of the project area is at risk of encountering unexploded bombs (blast bombs: caliber between 250 and 8,000 lb, fragmentation bombs: caliber 260 lb, and incendiary bombs: caliber 4-500 lb), possibly with long-life fuses (air raid causation scenario).
- According to the construction guidelines for explosive ordnance disposal, there is a need for further investigation (category 2) for the designated areas. To clarify the further procedure, we recommend consulting a specialist planner for explosive ordnance disposal.
- No further action is required for the rest of the project area (Category 1).
